Nicole Clarkston/Alix James

Alix James/Nicole Clarkston is an author, a homeschooling mother of three, and a happy wife who somehow managed to find Fitzwilliam Darcy, Charles Bingley, and John Thornton all rolled into one package. She was raised on horseback in Boise, Idaho, with a book in one hand and a Pepsi in the other. She has worked in the agriculture industry, and also owned an RV rental business with her husband.

Alix started out in the world of JAFF innocently enough. A smuggled library book here, a Kindle under the covers there- the usual routine. By the fall of 2014, she had developed a serious obsession. Rather than see a doctor, she decided to become intimately acquainted with her laptop. One sleepless night, she crept out to the computer, and her first novel, No Such Thing As Luck, was born. About two months later, Rumours and Recklessness began in a similar fashion, and she worked on the two novels side by side. She kept her writing under wraps until the day Rumours published on Amazon Kindle, and then she decided she had to confess it to her husband… who told everybody.

Alix now publishes all her Pride and Prejudice inspired stories as Alix James, and she writes unrelated Regency Romances as Nicole Clarkston.
