Christina Morland

Christina Morland spent the first two decades of her life with no knowledge of Pride and Prejudice—or any Jane Austen novel, for that matter. After overcoming this childhood affliction, she became a devoted fan of all things Austen. (Well, almost all; she’s still trying to accustom herself to Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies!)

When not writing, Christina tries (and fails) to keep up with her creative, mischievous daughter and her maddeningly brilliant husband.  She also has three catsor maybe they have her, for they are the ones who determine when Christina wakes up in the morning (far too early).  A former history teacher, Christina lives in a place not unlike Hogwarts (minus Harry, Dumbledore, magic, and Scotland), and likes to think of herself as an excellent walker. Christina’s Novels ~

The Year in BetweenThe Year in Between

In the last chapter of Sense and Sensibility, Jane Austen gives us only the barest of hints about the year in between Elinor Dashwood’s marriage to Edward Ferrars and her sister Marianne’s marriage to Colonel Brandon–the man Marianne once considered “too old” for marriage.

What happened during that year? How did Marianne go from heartbroken to heart-whole? And how did Elinor, who had so little hope of marrying her true love, fare during the early days of her marriage?

Seasons of WaitingSeasons of Waiting

Autumn, 1812: Certain his second proposal will be rejected, Darcy does not return to Hertfordshire–or to Elizabeth Bennet.

Spring, 1837: When his nephew falls in love with her niece, Darcy and Elizabeth are bound to meet again.

How many steps does it take to find a way back to the person you have always loved?
