I am so excited to announce that our baby Nefarious has flown the coop (and now I don’t have to clean up its messes anymore). It is available exclusively on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited, and YES, the paperback is already available!

Are you ready for some more great news? YES, there will be an audiobook! Nefarious will be narrated by Mr Harry Frost, who lent his dark velvet voice to The Darcy Monologues and is currently recording Yule Tide. Aren’t you just dying to hear his inner Darcy sass coming out? I can hardly stand it, I’m so excited! The audiobook is not expected until 2020, but I promise, it will be worth the wait!
Harry Frost is a 28-year-old writer and voice actor living in Leicestershire, England. He enjoys literature and is passionate about the audiobook medium as a way to revitalise a tradition of performance storytelling.
I want to personally thank the readers here at Austen Variations for all your encouragement and inspiration during the initial chapter postings. I have never finished a book so quickly, and I owe that to you all! Thank you, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the story!
And for my partner in crime, Jeanne Garrett–goodness, I have no words. Take a bow, lady! Isn’t she spectacular? I wonder if she has any other ideas rattling around that we should ask her about, eh? AND, because today is not exciting enough, I have more fun things to share! I have just approved the final files for the audiobook of Nowhere But North! Woohoo!
This was a book I almost despaired of ever finding a narrator for, but the lovely Deborah Balm fit the part beautifully. She is a native of Manchester, so she knows just how to pull off all those accents! I am still in awe of how she does it. You really have to check out her profile and listen to how rich her voice is!
From Deborah: Each audiobook project is totally unique bringing its own highpoints and learnings. That’s what’s brilliant about this work. I have always loved books. My parents often discovered me late at night reading under the covers by torchlight!
Isn’t she delightful? I can’t wait for you to hear more of her. The book is now undergoing Audible’s final quality check process, so now we wait. I will be posting updates as we know more!

As you know my sympathies lie with Darcy and his lonely miserable life! I know he’s been misguided in his dealings with Elizabeth (and Jane, and Bingley 😉) but he just needs to be loved and I’m sure he will finally get to acknowledge that the perfect candidate is Elizabeth. Then he JUST has to convince her 😂! Oh and deal with his in-laws and their rumourmongering 😡

I expect a lot of people will want to strangle him in the first half of the book, but I promise he redeems himself! Thank you for having faith in our misguided and petulant boy as he finds his way back to being the man we love.
