New Book!

I have a new book up for pre-order! You can get it on Amazon now (Click here for the US store, click here for UK) and everywhere else in a few days. Release day is July 15th!

This story is part of a collection of stories that all start from the same point in canon: Lydia’s elopement. Lest you think the focus is not on our favorite couple, allow me to disabuse you of that notion. Elizabeth and Darcy are the main stars, but Lydia’s elopement is the catalyst to events.

I have been thinking about a lot of these scenarios for a while, but none of them were meaty enough for a full novel. The solution: novellas! And a collection of novellas on the same theme was too tempting to resist.

The first to be released is Letter Interrupted.  I’m a little in love with this cover.

E Adams

When Mr. Darcy came to see Elizabeth at the inn at Lambton, what was he there to say? This story explores what would have happened if Jane’s letters had been delayed and Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth had instead spent the day together. The path of the story diverges from there, and when Lydia’s elopement becomes known, Elizabeth must face the idea of losing the man she has come to care for.

I shared the beginning of this story a few weeks ago. You can read that snippet here.

The Elopement Project is a collection of stand-alone novellas that explore what would happen if Lydia’s elopement were handled differently.

If Elizabeth hadn’t received Jane’s letters, what would have happened? ~ Letter Interrupted

If Mr. Bennet received the express from Colonel Forster without his family present, could it have been kept secret from those in Meryton? ~ Uncertain Endeavors

If the plot to elope was known in Brighton, would anyone have tried to stop it? ~ Foolish Games

Did you know I have a newsletter?  Subscribers are the first to know about sales and news, and they also receive exclusive stories I don’t share anywhere else (or at least not until much later.) I promise not to bombard you, and you get a FREE copy of Meryton Vignettes, my short story collection, when you sign up! Click here for the free book. Click here to sign up without a freebie. Oooh! I must get this one ….. and the rest when they arrive! I enjoy stories that diverge from the letter at Lambton! Especially when there is more interaction between Darcy and Elizabeth? Thanks for the heads up and good luck with it!

    1. I hope you enjoy it, Glynis!

That really is a great cover. Your fonts are always so elegant, and the colors and artwork are frame-worthy. I was surprised to see that you have another book out already, even if it is shorter. I look forward to reading all of these novellas.

    1. Thank you! My cover designer is amazing! She always gives me great stuff.

I am in a good writing phase, so getting a lot done. It helps that my kids are older now (and can dress themselves) and I have finally (mostly) learned how to plot in advance. Ha!

I pre-ordered it on Amazon only to receive an email saying it had been canceled by the publisher. Please tell me when I might purchase it?

    Thanks your loyal follower!
