March Madness

March Madness

Spring is in the air, and it’s time to break out of the winter doldrums. With that in mind, a few weeks ago we asked our amazing readers on Facebook for crossover ideas and received so many clever and funny suggestions. Thank you to all of you who shared your thoughts.

In case you’re not familiar with the idea of a crossover, it’s a story/scene in which characters from different Austen books meet and interact. In a crossover, Darcy and Captain Wentworth could have a nice chat over a brandy, Lady Catherine could give Emma some tips on matchmaking, or Caroline Bingley and Sir Walter Elliot share nasty comments about their friends and family. (Personally, I’m betting they’d also share tips on skin products.)

In addition to the crazy crossovers, this month we’ll also have several brand new P&P200 scenes to share, a guest post, and a book launch. Please join us for the fun.

Really looking forward to this Susan. As you say, there were so many funny suggestions on FB.

    1. I’ve never written a crossover so I’m looking forward to this month, too. Who knows? I might get brave enough to try one myself.

Oh, this sounds like fun. Looking forward to this. Not on FB though.

  1. I can’t wait!! 🙂

Have a really good one posted for tomorrow (March 2), okay? It’s my 50th birthday, and with our current family circumstances, it may be the majority of my birthday celebration (besides FB posts).

Although my daughter and I are discussing driving into the city to see P & P & Zombies…. 😉

    Looking forward to March,
    Susanne 🙂

      Susanne–Happy Early Birthday!

    1. Happy Birthday, Suzanne! I think this week is a series of P&P scenes. I hope that will be acceptable as a birthday tribute!

I didn’t see this on Facebook (I seem to miss quite a lot) anyway I look forward to seeing the results.

    1. Any ideas for crossovers (since you missed the FB post)?

Well I prefer stories about Darcy and Elizabeth so I think Darcy has a lot in common with Colonel Brandon and Mr Knightly as they are all the strong silent type 😊

Look forward to reading the crossovers! One of the first JAFF authors I started reading is Carrie Bebris and her Mr and Mrs Darcy mystery series. The stories are cross-overs with Lizzy and Darcy meeting up with characters from the other Austen novels.

  2. I’ll have to check out her books. There are so many great Austen-related stories out there that it’s hard to keep up.
