I’m ushering in Valentine’s day with two new audiobook releases!
First off! Catching Lizzy, narrated by Scarlett Mae Clarke, came out last week. Scarlett is a newer narrator, but I love her performance as Lizzy–especially drunk Lizzy! She went for it and it came out so well. She told me at one time that her inspiration for Richard was Rupert Everrett in My Best Friend’s Wedding, so I’d love to hear what you think of him as well!
Here’s a sample for you to check it out!
And for a second release! Deborah Balm is back to narrate A Worthy Woman! As always, Deborah has outdone herself, even managing to give Fiona a bit of an Irish brogue which I love since it’s just enough to set Fiona apart. I think she’s captured Nicholas and Fiona’s love story with a nuanced performance all of you will enjoy.
And of course, here is the sample!
Now! Of course you know I have a giveaway! I have 3 audiobook codes for each title that I will draw for. Just leave me a comment to let me know which book you’d like to be entered for (You can enter both if you like) and what market (US or UK). Good luck!
L.L. Diamond is more commonly known as Leslie to her friends, Mom to her three kids, and servant to her three cats. A native of Louisiana, she has been a wanderer for the past 20 years, living in Mississippi, California, Texas, New Mexico, Nebraska, England, and Missouri before settling in Maryland.
One day, Leslie may decide what she wants to do when she grows up but for now, she enjoys writing the stories that live in her head and coaching age group swimming. She has degrees in biology and studio art, certifications to coach swimming in the United States and Britain, and numerous fitness certifications. Leslie is also a member of the Jane Austen Society of North America. Her accomplishments include drawing, watercolor, and playing flute and piano, but much like Pride and Prejudice’s Elizabeth Bennet, she is always in need of practice!
After watching Sense and Sensibility with her mother, Leslie became a fan of Jane Austen, reading her collected works over the next few years. Pride and Prejudice stood out as a favourite and has dominated her writing since finding Jane Austen Fan Fiction.
Aside from mother and writer, Leslie considers herself a perpetual student. She has degrees in biology and studio art, but will devour any subject of interest simply for the knowledge. As an artist, her concentration is in graphic design, but watercolour is her medium of choice with one of her watercolours featured on the cover of her second book, A Matter of Chance. She coaches swimming and holds a variety of fitness certifications. She is also a member of the Jane Austen Society of North America. Leslie also plays flute and piano, but much like Elizabeth Bennet, she is always in need of practice!
Yay! Congrats on your new audiobook releases! I’d like to be entered in the drawing for both codes (US) please!
P.S. I was a winner of your last give away and won a signed copy of An Endeavor to be Worthy. I emailed back, but never received a response and haven’t received my copy in the mail. Just wanted to check that you did get my response. 😊
Hi Brittney,
I did get your response. I waited until I had all of the addresses, but now I have them, the book is prepped to ship but I just haven’t made it to the post office. Sorry about that. I will get them out this week. Leslie 🙂
I can perfectly picture the dress that Lizzy is wearing. Even in 4 minutes, I knew that this was Mrs. Bennet’s dream wedding. I was hoping to hear Richard’s audio and the take on Rupert Everrett. I think it would be hysterical and. quite sarcastic. Lizzy and he would make a great team again Darcy. Please enter me into this audiobook (US code) giveaway. I have read the book and would love to have the audiobook for my walks. Keep writing contemporary P&P variations. Thanks for the audio sample and giveaway.
Thanks, Eva! I love writing contemporary P&P variations. It’s a great reset when I’ve been writing a lot of Regency and helps free up my brain a bit. If I don’t write something different from time to time, my muse starts to rebel. 🙂
Catching Lizzy is one of my favorite recent releases! The sample sounds wonderful! I would like to be entered to win this lovely modern. (US code) Thanks!

Hi Leslie,
