Loved thisbstory couldn’t put it down
Oooh great title! I’m sure I wouldn’t mix it up with anything else! 😱🤔😉😂. At least I do remember that I absolutely loved it! In my defence I’d just read Melanie’s book before yours! I should have checked out the photo?! I noticed another review on the same day with no photo so I don’t know how she managed it!

Hi Glynis — I see you want to continue our Facebook interaction. 🙂
My favorite interactions are when Darcy just happens upon Elizabeth walking and decides to join her not knowing that she doesn’t like him. I’m so excited to read this book.
Author
It’s a perfect example of how people see what they want to see, isn’t it?
I love what you have shown us until now! especially when Darcy was running to get the letter from Collins! thas was hilarious! I imagine Elizabeth looking at him with stupefaction!!!
Author
I would love to see her face!! Thanks for stopping by, Barbara!
The tension between Elizabeth and Darcy continues, but the reader knows that Elizabeth is sending barbs and that Darcy ‘s comments are sent as devotion. It flares up during the proposal. I don’t blame Elizabeth for being hesitant to accept Darcy’s letter, but she takes it as if under a spell after his profession of love. Thank you for the giveaway and kudos on your new release.
Author
Thanks so much, Eva. I certainly don’t blame Elizabeth for not wanting to take the letter. In this case, it might have been better if she hadn’t!
Why can’t I get the image of Mr. Collins taking the letter and running like a 4 year old screaming “mommy mommy look what i found!” to Lady Catherine (perhaps because I experienced a 4 yr old running toward me doing just that, only i assure you it wasn’t a letter but something far worse in his hand and in front of the new neighbor) Love that Darcy wrote his proposal as the written word is sometimes better than vocal word, although maybe not for him 🙂 Can’t wait to read this and congrats on the release!
Author
Hehehe! I’m trying not to think what could be worse, Jennifer. But I’m intrigued about the new neighbor. 😀
Yahoo!!! Reading this today!!!
Finished!!! LOL! OK, so the ‘Mr. Collins chase scene’. OMG, I could see it in my mind, Mr. Collins, running, sweating, try to dodge Lizzy and Darcy. *giggle* Oh my lord so funny. It was interesting to follow the banter between ODC, it was like the letter, or its outcome gave them the ‘kick’ to actually talk to each other. And Miss Jane…I was not sure what was going on there, until her encounters with Miss Darcy. What I liked about this, was that between all the angst was there was a bit of comedy between Mr. Collins, Lady Catherine and I loved Lord Matlock. I have already purchased the paperback. And will read it again. Thanks Monica. Another great read 🙂

Thank you so much for your feedback, Char! It’s great to get a sense of how you see it as a reader. I’m so glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Author
Already read your comments and know what you think. Happy to hear you enjoyed it.
Congratulations on your new release.! I read it and had a fun! Lord Matlock was a hoot!!
Author
I know. I have a soft spot for Lord Matlock in this book. Thank you for letting me know you had fun!
I am so excited to read this! Thre is so much to love about D & E’s interactions at Rosings but I think I appreciate their honesty. FINALLY, we see these two confront each other and understand the other’s true feelings. Congrats on your new release! (I am so sorry about the loss of your friend. i will be praying that God comforts you.)
Author
Thank you for your kind words about my friend, Rebecca.
I never thought of it that way, but it’s true that the face-to-face proposal is about honesty vs. artificial social interaction.
Congratulations on the release! What I love about Rosings is how both Darcy and Elizabeth are clueless about each other before the “Hunsford moment”. However, an honorable mention must go to the proposal fight scene in P&P&Z. Thank you for the giveaway.
Author
Thank you, Robin. Yes, the Hunsford moment is a really shock. Ha! I love that scene, even though I’m not a zombie fan. 😉
I love that Darcy thinks he is wooing Elizabeth & she has no idea he is intentionally giving her his attention.
Author
It’s so ironic, isn’t it?
I love the way Darcy and Elizabeth are a mix of pride, anger, love, confusion and astonishment which all comes out in a less-than-refined confrontation at Hunsford. The rest of the interactions are cordial and polite, even if there is an undercurrent of sarcasm, so seeing them both come undone in their own ways is very refreshing.
I can’t wait to see what happens when that element is subtracted and replaced with a letter.
Author
“Undone” will make a great title, Gillian. Jane Austen is so amazing, isn’t she? I can’t believe that she was able to express so much in a relatively short scene.
I love Darcy’s fragility ans Darcy’s dilemma with Elizabeth. I feel empathy for him.
Author
I love that way of seeing Darcy, Aubry.
Congratulations & the cover is beautiful.
Author
Many thanks, Glory!
Maybe things will go easier for Darcy by writing a letter. Or, maybe not. I’d love to read this and find out. Perfect cover.
Author
Well, Caroline Bingley thinks he’s a good writer. So we’ll have to see…
I love the angst of the botched proposal at Rosings. Congrats on the release!
Author
Angst it is! And thank you!
The smiles. Congrats on your book!
Author
Thanks for stopping by, Julie!
I love the cover and the storyline seems great!! What in love most about D & E interactions at Rosings is how completely differently they are those and that typically culminating in a clash of epic portions during a horribly insulting proposal.
Author
I guess Jane Austen hit on the opposites attracts theme before anyone else!
I really like how Elizabeth doesn’t have a clue that Darcy loves her, and that Darcy does’t have a clue that Elizabeth does NOT like him at all.
Author
So well expressed, Cyndy!
I love the banter and the wit, while Elizabeth is convinced Darcy dislikes her and judges her and Darcy’s is certain that Elizabeth seeks his attention and flirts with him.
Author
They say love is blind, but this is a completely different type of blindness!
I really like that Darcy joins Elizabeth on her daily walks, thinking he is courting her and oblivious to her thoughts. Since we don’t see much detail of this in canon, I wish more JAFF would show those scenes, either as Jane Austen intended or with Elizabeth being more open to him. I am intrigued by your idea to have Darcy propose via letter and am looking forward to reading it. Congratulations on a new book!
Author
Thank you, TC. That’s a great idea, by the way! Something to think about…
I think the fact that they are both completely wrong about how the other views them is the best part. A great lesson in miscommunication and assumptions!
Author
A good lesson indeed!
Read it, loved it, reviewed it. Good luck with the release.
Author
So nice of you to say so, Sheila. I’m really pleased you liked the book.
I’m not certain that there is much to say about Darcy and Elizabeth during their time at Rosings except that both were clueless about the other. Darcy still has to overcome his arrogance, Elizabeth her obstinacy. Both needed to grow up and open their hearts to truths beyond their imaginations while at Rosings.
Congrats on publishing a new book. I look forward to reading it.
Author
Thank you, ForeverHis! You would think Darcy was grown up by now but I guess he was never exposed to someone like Elizabeth before.
Congratulations on the (early) release! Lovely cover art.
Author
Very pleased you liked it, Linda!
I can’t wait to read this! And it’s one of the most beautiful covers I’ve ever seen!
Author
Wow! Very pleased to hear it, Janet!!
The total lack of understanding each has for the other. He thinks she’s flirting: she can’t understand why he’s always on her favourite walk.
And Charlotte Lucas / Collins seeing it all…
Author
Isn’t it fascinating, Helyn? Charlotte can see it, but Elizabeth convinces her otherwise.
I find it funny that he thinks he is courting her and showing his preference and she is clueless despite being the smartest sister! I guess we are all fouls in love.
Author
And to think she was fooled by Wickham so easily as well!!
