Aren’t the brothers SO different? Like night and day! Which do you think is a better match for our Elizabeth?

I’ll be back next week with another chapter, so hang on to your bonnets until then! Mr. Darcy and the Girl Next Door officially launches on January 31, and it will be in Kindle Unlimited. That means that these preview chapters will have to come down prior to launch day, so read them while you can!

So, Elizabeth is off to Derbyshire, that would set the cat amongst the pigeons
Loving this story, can’t wait to read the published book in full.

    1. I love that expression! Yes, the poor Darcy brothers won’t know what hit them. ;-P

Well, that chapter, especially Lizzy’s part, explains the title! I can’t wait to read this one! Great job whetting our appetites! 😂

    1. Yes, ma’am! Thank you, Rebecca!

I checked YouTube to see if you were going to read this chapter too 😉
I have this on preorder but also flagged it as a paperback purchase, hopefully in the future.

    1. I took a little break from reading to survive the holidays and then to nurse a sore back. You did NOT want to see my morning face for a while there (ouch!) and that’s the only time I get to read in a quiet house. New video going up today, though! And yes, the paperback will be going up hopefully even before the ebook is live. Fingers crossed!

Yes, the brothers are very different. This is a new idea to get Jane and Elizabeth to meet Darcy and Bingley. Thank you for these Chapters. Looking forward to reading more!

    1. Isn’t it fun how many different options there are to introduce these couples? Thanks for stopping by, Eva!

So Elizabeth is returning to Derbyshire? I wonder if the Darcys and Bingley are also going? I’m still wondering who Elizabeth’s parents are 🤔😳. Thank goodness the younger girls aren’t petitioning to go. More please 🥰🥰

    1. Yes, this is a mercifully Lydia-Free adventure! Chapter Three posting next week, Glynis. <3

I actually have not read any of the excerpts that you’re posting, because I don’t want to spoil my read when the book comes out. But I am skimming them, and I’m eagerly anticipating reading it for real.

This is very interesting. The younger Darcy brother is apparently being set up as akin to Wickham, especially with the name George. I’m very intrigued to see where this goes and how it is eventually resolved!

Thank you, Jo! Yes, it is interesting. In this case, George isn’t exactly a rake, but he’s definitely no Darcy. Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Thank you, Luisa!

  1. It is looks like George has Wickham’s characteristics. Is it your intention to write him in this role, Nicole? I hope he doesn’t turn out to be a scoundrel and elope with a rich heiress. I can’t wait to read about Elizabeth getting reacquainted with the Darcy brothers again. Will it turn out the way she expected?
