Jane in January Happy New Year

Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe another year has come and gone, and yet – here we are at 2019. Is anyone else as astonished as I am that it has been 19 years since we entered this century?

We are ringing in the New Year with our annual Jane in January 2019! This month we will have stories, specials posts, and giveaways. Our theme is, “Where Does Our Inspiration Come From?” Some of us will be sharing where, how, and from what we get our inspiration for our stories.

Being a Jane Austen blog, you know that our main inspiration comes from the Lady herself. Her words, characters, and plots continually move us, delight us, and inspire us as we read her works over and over. And that is what initially prompted us to write our variations, sequels, prequels, missing scenes, different points of view… well, you get it.

Join us beginning tomorrow for a month-long celebration of Jane Austen as we share that inspiration with  you, share more stories, and offer giveaways peppered throughout the week. Each author will announce their giveaway and the rules for entering, so make sure you stop by. Not every post will have a giveaway associated with it, as some of the authors are posting more than once this month, but we hope you will have fun, for you are our readers, and we appreciate you as much as we are inspired by Jane.

So enjoy, good luck, and…

Happy New Year to all the fabulous authors here on the ‘AustenVariations’ website. We love you and all the hard work you do for your craft as you create JAFF variations that promote Jane Austen’s genius. I’ll never forget when I first discovered JAFF [Jane Austen Fan Fiction]. I had no idea such a thing existed. A whole new world opened up to me and I’ve never looked back. I love Austen’s work. I try to read P&P and my other JA favorites every year. 2018 was not kind to my family and RL interfered with my goal. I intend to rectify that this new year.

I appreciate every author here and look forward to seeing what you have planned for us. Have a Happy and Blessed New Year to one and all.

Belated Happy New Year to you all at Austen Variations! Thanks so much for all of the wonderful works that you provide to feed the addiction of myself and so many others. I may have been absent from the comments in recent times but I do try to read all of your posts.

Nineteen years since the turn of the millenium – scary indeed! And WordPress tells me it’s nearly five years since I subscribed to your wonderful site, just after it launched I believe. How time flies!
