Hello All! I’m very excited to announce that Dishonorable Gentlemen is now an audiobook. That’s right, now you can listen as our wily bandits shoot a hole right through Mr. Darcy’s hat, no reading required. Perfect for when you have a lot of baking to do. Or when you’ve done a lot of baking, and now you have a lot of cleaning up to do.
Plus, in addition to the always wonderful Benjamin Fife, who is perfect for this variation, a new-to-me narrator has taken on Elizabeth’s chapters. Carol Beth Anderson. She does an absolutely wonderful job. When I was proofing the audiobook, there was a point where she almost made me cry (in a spot that’s meant to be sad). That’s how good she is.
So, if you’re looking for the audiobook, you can find it:
On Amazon: getbook.at/DishonorableAudio
On Audible: www.audible.com/pd/Dishonorable-Gentlemen-Audiobook/B0FX5TJVND
Or, if you want to know what on earth Dishonorable Gentlemen is about, here’s the blurb:
Elizabeth Bennet isn’t made to stand idly by and watch people suffer. Especially not when the Bennet sisters’ stepfather, a one-time British spy, has trained her, Jane, and Mary so well. But when Netherfield Park is let and the new residents move in, the lighthearted game of reimagined Robin Hood she and her sisters have been playing could turn deadly, both for the neighborhood’s newest gentlemen and for Elizabeth’s heart.
Fitzwilliam Darcy has no desire to remain in a region where he was held up at gunpoint within moments of arrival, until he spies a mysterious, alluring figure he can’t purge from his thoughts. Should he remain in Hertfordshire and pursue the mysterious woman he sighted in the mist, or depart before he is too deeply entangled in an increasingly dangerous web of deadly duels, secrets, and unwed misses?
Dishonorable Gentlemen, volume one of the Bennet Gang Duology, is a medium angst, Regency Era, love-at-first-sight (at least on one side!) Pride and Prejudice Variation. If you enjoy Summer Hanford’s light-hearted, fanciful tales, give this adventure-filled, sweet romance a listen.
Plus, I have a very full sample for you. The entire first two chapters (so you can hear both narrators).
Lastly, congratulations on making it to the bottom of the post. I’ve given you a great many opportunities to click away. I don’t know why I do that. Every bit of advice to authors says to only put one thing to click in any given blog post or email, so that people will click on that one, all-important thing. I like to give you options, though. You’re here to be entertained, or at least to gain information, not to click on things for me.
Anyhow… If you would like an opportunity to receive a US or UK (I know… they need to give us more countries!) Audible audiobook code for the Dishonorable Gentlemen Audiobook, just mention that in the comments below. At the end of the week (Friday the 31st, a.k.a. All Hallows Eve), I’ll pick the winners.
Thank you so much for reading and have a lovely day,
Summer

Hi Lena Lee 🙂 Thank you for commenting. I’ll pick winners on Friday 🙂
Hi Summer,
Don´t put me for the giveaway as I have the two volumes for reading 😉
I just wanted to stop by to say Congrats on your audiobook release and to tell you that, although I haven´t read the stories yet, I was captivated by the plot and the wonderful diptych you did with the two covers: WOW, I love them because you can put them in front of your library like a double-portrait which evokes epic and romantic echoes like those of Poldark series 😉

Hi Teresa,
Thank you so much. I love the covers, too. My husband actually did them. He learned to use several types of graphics software so that he can do covers. He doesn’t usually do my Austenesque ones, only the fantasy series, because he likes fantasy books better, but I convinced him to make these because The Bennet Gang books are adventuresome. So, usually, he just taunts me with his graphics skills, as I don’t put out fantasy books often 🤣
Have a lovely Monday,
Summer
