Can you believe it’s August already? This year is just flying by! Today, I’m excited because even though the audiobook of Confined with Mr. Darcy released a little over a week ago, today is the release celebration!
It’s easily found at Audible and Amazon. At just shy of 3 hours, it’s a fun listen for a drive or if you’re stuck cleaning house. Joanna did an amazing job with the narration and it was so much fun to hear her interpretation of each of the characters.

L.L. Diamond is more commonly known as Leslie to her friends and Mom to her three kids. A native of Louisiana, she spent the majority of her life living within an hour of New Orleans before following her husband all over as a military wife.
After watching Sense and Sensibility with her mother, Leslie became a fan of Jane Austen, reading her collected works over the next few years. Pride and Prejudice stood out as a favourite and has dominated her writing since finding Jane Austen Fan Fiction.
Aside from mother and writer, Leslie considers herself a perpetual student. She has degrees in biology and studio art, but will devour any subject of interest simply for the knowledge. As an artist, her concentration is in graphic design, but watercolour is her medium of choice with one of her watercolours featured on the cover of her second book, A Matter of Chance. She coaches swimming and holds a variety of fitness certifications. She is also a member of the Jane Austen Society of North America. Leslie also plays flute and piano, but much like Elizabeth Bennet, she is always in need of practice!
Enjoyed the excerpt. My favorite scene is when Darcy takes Lizzy to see the stars, and she makes a move on him. Then being locked out of the house was very humorous.
This will definitely be on my list if I ever decide to go with audiobooks (not yet so please don’t enter me in the giveaway 😏)
I would definitely pick the ‘stars’ scene but I loved the whole book ❤️

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing as well as the little prequels that you posted! I’ve re-read it twice. I just wish it was longer! Moderns are my favorite!

I just finished reading Confined…a couple days ago and loved it! Hard to pick a favorite scene, there’s so much to enjoy. I did get a kick out of Georgiana’s (sort of) potty mouth, (thanks for keeping it mild!) I loved Mrs Reynolds. I loved Tilney. I loved Bingley taking Darcy to task over his attitude, etc. And who wouldn’t love the stars scene. I want the audio book so bad. Ha. I’m so excited it’s available now.

When you first started promoting Confined With Mr Darcy, I got it quick so that would count toward the museum donation. Then I went and looked up the needs of the museum, made a donation, and realized my pittance would maybe pay for one roof tile. Gulp. There is a need for a large donor, for sure. But in these times…..

I made a donation on my own and then the donation from the book ($500) which is a drop in the bucket, but I know every little bit helps and they’re thankful for it. Because the book was written to donate money to the museum, I wanted it to be PG. Thankfully, everyone’s little bits added up and the museum raised enough money to remain open plus some to help them come back a bit better. I’m very thankful to everyone who read and purchased Confined. Thanks again!
Thank you for a sample of the book. I have it but I have only read this part. Everytime I start reading , my kids start catching my attention. (that’s why lately I’ve been enjoying audiobooks coz I can multi-task 😉
