Christmas Time Already?

I know, it gets earlier every year…

But the truth is, if you mean to release a Christmas book in time for the actual Christmas season, you have to start planning several months early! So, for me, it’s been Christmas for a long time now, so I’m excited you all can finally join me. And do I have some fun planned! Read to the end to find out about the giveaway.

First, there’s the new kid on the block. This story is a departure from the fun, rompy style Christmas stories I’ve written before. It’s a simple, cozy, second chances story with sweet slow-burn romance and lots of longing. I leaned on my old story When the Sun Sleeps for some thematic inspiration, because I loved how that one captured the “almost-but-not-quite” feeling of being there, but not.

I posted some sneaky scenes over on My Blog, but here’s the official cover and blurb!

He never forgot her. She never stopped regretting him.

A year after Elizabeth Bennet’s refusal, Fitzwilliam Darcy lives with the echo of her words and the shadow of her absence. Christmastide brings no comfort—only duty, solitude, and a heart he cannot quiet. Yet when his cousin persuades him into joining a country house party at Kelton Manor, Darcy faces the one encounter he vowed to avoid: Elizabeth herself.

For Elizabeth, too much has changed. Lydia’s elopement has blackened her family’s name, and any hope of happiness is gone. To meet Mr. Darcy again is agony enough; to be trapped under the same roof at Christmas is almost unbearable. Surely he must despise her now.

But snowbound days and firelit nights weave their own magic. Between the strains of carols, the laughter of games, and the hush of a winter’s evening, Darcy and Elizabeth discover that regret is not the end of love. When a cherished keepsake reveals the depth of his devotion, Elizabeth must decide: can she trust her heart to him again, even when the world insists they are forever divided?

Mr. Darcy’s Keepsake is a sweet, tender Pride and Prejudice Christmas variation, brimming with longing, second chances, and the timeless promise of true love. Perfect for readers who treasure Regency holiday romance, Darcy and Elizabeth reunions, and heartfelt happily-ever-afters.

Mr. Darcy’s Keepsake went live today, so get your copy!

Next up, and also live today,  is a box set! These sweet, fun Christmas stories will have you giggling and reaching for the fuzzy socks and hot cocoa. This year, you can enjoy them all in one place!

Three festive tales where the holidays sparkle with laughter, longing, and the most unexpected kisses.

How to Get Caught Under the Mistletoe
Elizabeth Bennet’s holiday plan was simple: cheer up her friends in London, dodge troublesome gentlemen, and maybe steal a kiss or two beneath the mistletoe. Unfortunately, Mr. Darcy keeps appearing at precisely the wrong (or right) moment—whether in ballrooms, under greenery, or in Elizabeth’s thoughts. Between festive blunders, family chaos, and unexpected sparks, this Christmas may deliver more than she bargained for.

The Scotsman’s Ghost
Darcy wanted nothing more than peace and quiet for Christmas—what he got was crowded parlors, far too many encounters with Elizabeth Bennet, and a meddling Scottish ghost who refuses to leave him alone. Elizabeth thought Darcy was nothing but glowers and arrogance, yet suddenly he keeps turning up in her path, looking far too intriguing for her own comfort. Between ghostly schemes and mistletoe mischief, this holiday promises more sparks than serenity.

Mr. Darcy’s Christmas Kiss
Elizabeth Bennet’s London holiday takes an unexpected turn when an “innocent” dinner invitation introduces her to the enigmatic Mr. Darcy—reserved, infuriating, and far too intriguing for her peace of mind. Fate soon throws them together on a Christmas project meant to unite a divided community, where misunderstandings spark into surprising partnership. Amid candlelight, laughter, and one unforgettable kiss, Elizabeth must decide if Darcy is exactly the man she’s been waiting for all along.

Whether it is mistletoe mishaps, a meddling ghost with Scottish flair, or a Christmas celebration that changes everything, Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy find themselves tangled in yuletide magic they never anticipated. Mistletoe, Magic, and Mr. Darcy brings together three heartwarming holiday romances filled with wit, wonder, and the timeless charm of love at Christmas.

I love the chapters on the blog. But I want to know why Mrs Gardiner is depressed! Has something happened to the children?

    1. It’s not much of a spoiler. Mrs. Gardiner lost a pregnancy. Sad, yes, but it sets a more introspective mood for everyone going into this story.

I really look forward to the installments on Jane Austen Variations. The characters seem more real……the circumstances seem more in today’s thinking. Thank you for putting together this site.

I enjoy reading all your variations. The Christmas variations are some of my favorites as it is my favorite holiday. Hope you enjoy the Season!

    1. I LOVE Christmas. This new one is a little less “funny” than the ones in the box set, but sometimes we want a slow tug on the heart rather than a laugh. Enjoy, Anne!

    1. That’s the hope, Eva. That’s why any of us do this–reality just needs to stay outside sometimes. <3

I love a good story about regret and redemption; it will be interesting to see just who gives in to their feeling first. I would place my shilling on Darcy being the first to admit it, but Elizabeth will probably resist, although in her heart she wants him, but does not want to ruin his and his family’s reputation. Ayd will Lady C be trying to force her opinion on our couple?

    1. What? It sounds like you know our dear couple very well, indeed! Enjoy the ride, Melanie! <3

I am reading Mr. Darcy’s Keepsake now and listening to The Scotsman’s Ghost. I am amazed at how you can write both a book that perfectly expressed longing and one that embraces the wit and laughter. I have all of the books so no need to enter me in the giveaway!

    1. I’m so glad you’re enjoying both, Rebecca! Oh, I had SO much fun writing Ghost. I wrote a big chunk of it on a camping trip, sitting by the fire with my phone, and people were giving me funny looks when I would randomly start snort-laughing! This new one felt like a sweet departure, something fresh. Happy reading and listening!

I am definitely in the mood for something sweet and, hopefully, low angst. Thank you for the chance to win a copy! And congratulations on the releases.

    1. Well, I’m a terrible judge of my own angst. I’d have called this one a creamy marshmallow because nobody’s dying. But you’ll have to tell me if that’s right! Enjoy, Linda!
