Austen Variations 2025 Advent Calendar

Welcome to the 2025 Austen Variations Advent Calendar, where our amazing authors will bring you a new gift every day from now until December 24th.

Since my last advent post was so long, I’ll get right to the point. The gift today is two-fold. First is a FREE download of Quills and Quandaries, a collection of three of my novels. You can access the download for five days, so act fast! Click the link to go to your Amazon store: https://mybook.to/QuillsandQuandaries

I realize not all readers can access this, and since I don’t have a non-KU book to add, here is your second gift: custom bookmarks of my Christmas story, Mr. Darcy’s Twelve Days of Christmas. You can print this front to

back, or as separate bookmarks. Here’s a preview:

And I promise, the actual files are not so pixeled. Click on the hyperlinks below to print the images.

Thank you, what lovely gifts! I already have the fantastic The Lake House at Ramsgate, both Kindle and the fantastic Audible versions – so brilliantly performed; have listened multiple times.

Is this 3 book collection available for free to US only? As I am in the UK and it is not showing as free – thanks again!

I’m in the U.K. and got it free. I’ve just checked and it’s still showing as free! Good luck

      1. That is so good to know!! Thanks!

    1. One UK reader said it showed as free. That’s why I had the bookmarks–I am still learning about how Amazon’s free book marketing works and wanted something else JUST in case. Also, I just checked Amazon UK and it’s showing up as free!

MJ – another author (Melissa Reginald) has put up on Amazon a book with the same title and details as your new release on January 1st. ‘A Debt to be Paid’. I noticed a DNF review on it and commented on Goodreads that your book may have been stolen.

Hi MJ, how can I download the book? I only see the option to check it out for Kindle Unlimited. Thanks!

    1. There should be a link under the add to library that says “OR BUY NOW” or something like that. Email me at author.mjstratton@gmail.com if you need help!

I got it to work, thank you! I just finished devouring the book and absolutely enjoyed it. Love Unfeigned was such a fun read, and I appreciated how much Georgiana shined on that story. I particularly loved seeing the dynamic with Darcy, and got a huge laugh at Georgiana’s reaction to Darcy’s original letter.

And having never seen the movie, The Lake House at Ramsgate had me at the edge of my seat trying to discover how two people separated by two years would connect!

But I must say, the story that surprised me the most was Body and Soul. I almost passed on reading it bc I’ve never been a fan of body swap or gender swap stories, but I’m really glad I gave it a shot and absolutely loved how you took a concept that could easily be cheap and crass and created such a deep, touching story out of it. I really enjoyed seeing the relationship between Elizabeth and her mother deepen and both women learning to empathize with the other. And who hasn’t wished to see Lydia locked up once or twice? 😝 I usually find authors using this trope to write cheap and crass comedy but you really crafted a deep and rich story out of it. Thank you!

  1. Thank you, MJ, you are so generous!!! And I didn’t have any of these novels so I’m really happy 😉
And thanks for the bookmarks, they are gorgeus and I love collecting bookmarks!! 😀

    1. Thank you!
