A Lady’s Reputation Audiobook Release

I am super excited to announce the release of my first audiobook! A Lady’s Reputation is now available through Audible, narrated by the wonderfully talented Lillian Rachel.  She’s done a tremendous job of creating a dignified Darcy, an accurately sassy Saye and most importantly, and awesome Elizabeth Bennet. Usually by the time I am done with a book, I can barely stand to think of it again for at least a year or so, but Lillian’s reading made me enjoy the story all over again.

My lovely narrator Lillian:

Born in the United Kingdom, Lillian grew up in East Anglia and moved north to Durham before marrying her US military man and Atlantic hopping between Europe and North America, with many side trips to far flung countries along the way.
She’s now settled in the Washington D.C. area.

After reading thousands of hours of literature-based lessons with children, and leading a range of adult education classes, her passion for storytelling and training continues. Lillian now performs behind the mic in projects as diverse as audiobooks to eLearning.  There’s not much she loves more than telling a story in the most engaging way. Sophisticated or sassy, Corporate and collaborative, with a range of accents, she brings stories to life.

I tried super hard to upload a sample into this post but unfortunately I am not technologically advanced enough to manage that! Instead click though here if you’d like and hear the sample! But first do leave me a comment because I will be picking two people to give free audiobook copies from the commenters!

Nothing better than listening to a good audiobook while working!
Lillian Rachel’s narration travels you immediately to the era and I’ve heard the best about your Saye. 😉
    Good luck with your audiobook!

    1. Thanks so much Alexandra!

I have wanted to read this story but I am always so busy that reading is sometimes put to the side so audiobooks have become a godsend. I am so excited this story is out. I am eagerly anticipating listening to this story.

    1. Oh my goodness yes… I spend a LOT of time in my car so audiobooks have just become more and more of my “reading” material!

      THanks Debbie!

I am so tempted to download this–I haven’t listened to any Austen books on tape as of yet. Not sure why –probably just technology! Lillian Rachel is my neighbor somewhere here in DC so now I think I need to listen!

    1. Its funny, there are now some books I know I need to listen to and some I read– not sure what makes the difference but some things I honestly just like more in audio!
      Thank you!

I’m glad this is published in audio. I would like to hear this narrator you praise so highly – I enjoy discovering good JAFF narrations where the voice adds to the enjoyment. Thanks for the giveaway!

    1. I can definitely assure you, I will never hear Elizabeth Bennet in my head again except that she has Lillian’s voice! I used to always say the best narrations were the ones where you forgot there WAS a narrator but Lillian took it a step beyond that for me!

      Thank you!

Well, I’m over the moon because this is available as an audio book. I listen to my favorites over and over again. I love audio books for multiple reasons: I can multi-task, I can listen to someone tell me a story-immersing myself in a book just as much as if reading it, just in a different way (so much rests on the shoulders of the narrator,) and I can rest my eyes-that is a big deal for me.

I love your books, Amy. You are a wonderful writer, and I’m so looking forward to your next book. Best of luck with this new venture. A Lady’s Reputation is such a great story. And Lillian’s narration is lovely. Can’t wait to hear her version of Viscount Saye. 😀

    1. Laundry day has been forever changed by audiobooks! I promise myself I get to listen while I fold haha!!
      Thank you Michelle!

I’ve read this book and loved it. It would be lovely to hear it as an audio book. It would be my first audio book and would be a great introduction to hearing it read aloud.

I love the cover! How much research did you have to do as you worked on this book?

    1. Thank you Suzannah! I ALWAYS do a ton of research, sometimes too much! Like I think I spent a few DAYS researching the truth or dare game played in this book — trying to find what they called it, which was Commands and Consequences. Same was even true of a very minor little bit, when Saye and Fitzwilliam have a thumb war under the table. I couldn’t find that one anywhere so I just took it as a matter of course that as long as there have been boys, there have been thumb wars!!

I’m reading JAFF daily. It’s nearly the best thing of my days. I started hearing audiobooks because I read to much and get nothing done. I already read your lovely book and I like to hear it again.
    Thank you!
