A little Jane for the Holidays: Twelfth Night at Longbourn — 20 Comments

  1. How delicious to share the Twelfth Night dinner. It’s fun to see some characters in different ways and with different suitors for Kitty.

  2. Twelfth Night, Boxing Day, Michelmas and more! Fun to learn what they mean through reading these delightful stories. I find it a nice diversion from the hustle and bustle of this busy season! Kitty often seems to be on the sidelines, glad she gets a story of her own.

  3. I love it that Kitty is getting her story too. She was just a bit malleable and misguided so its neat that she’s grown up a bit.

Thanks for sharing and for the giveaway opportunity.

  4. I love the idea of Twelfth Night. Here in the Gulf Coast, it is the beginning of the Mardi Gras season. That said, I like seeing Kitty be creative and charming.

  5. Yes, I too love this book and will have to read it again soon…maybe this weekend after the grandchildren go home.

  6. I don’t know why I can’t post my comment last night so I’m trying again.

Thanks for providing a tantalising excerpt, Maria. It’s great to know how the people from Regency times celebrate Christmas.

  7. Kitty and Mr Bingley, this sounds like a great story. Happily I have it on my e-reader for holiday reading, might have to start that early. Merry Christmas to all Austen fans, may it be a joyous one.

  8. Kitty and Mr. Bingley, well well, what have we here? Will have to look into this story some more. Any of the wonderful prizes being offered would be graciously received.
