Confined with Mr. Darcy Release Day Celebration

It’s release day! Confined with Mr. Darcy is out and about on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited and paperback. Hopefully, you’re all reading about Darcy and Elizabeth and contributing to the Jane Austen House Museum’s Covid-19 Survival Appeal at the same time.

Firstly, I’d like to thank everyone who preordered! It probably sounds a bit silly, but there are times I like preorders better than others. When I finalize a file, it’s always somewhat nerve-wracking because I’m terrified something will go wrong. Compounding that with release day, is a little like ripping off a bandaid. I get it done all at once. I’m happy that I could give those who do like preorders that ability.

So, let’s talk about the book. It’s roughly 25,000 words. With front and back material, the paperback is 105 pages. There are no adult scenes in this book. When I decided to write it, it was with the plan to make it a fundraiser, so I kept it to kissing and a bit of questionable verbal sparring 😉

Just in case you haven’t read it yet. The blurb-

William Darcy has gone completely mental! Despite Elizabeth Bennet’s less than stellar opinion of him, some unknown force possessed him to invite her to Pemberley to wait out lockdown. Just because she’d be closer to her sister Jane, who’s isolated in the gamekeeper’s cottage with her husband wasn’t a legitimate excuse either. He’d invited Elizabeth—the only woman he’d ever really fancied—Elizabeth, who’d refused him without reservation at the Rosings Book Festival. Now, he spends part of every day in Elizabeth’s company while struggling to keep his feelings hidden from not only her but also his nosy sister and motherly housekeeper. What a bloody nightmare!

When William Darcy showed up on her doorstep, the last thing Elizabeth Bennet expected was an invitation to Pemberley, yet she now lives in the poshest of rooms and can walk the extensive gardens and the forests without limits. Even Tilney, her timid Maine Coon cat, is willing to brave strangers to explore his new surroundings, but Elizabeth has no idea how to behave around Darcy. If no one can say when lockdown will end, she could be living at Pemberley indefinitely. How do you live with a man you’re attracted to, but who tries your every last nerve? How is she supposed to stay confined with Mr. Darcy?

I also have news! I have an agreement with someone to narrate Confined with Mr. Darcy for an audiobook. I’ll definitely update on progress as it goes, but I want to wait to give everyone more information. It’s a 2.7 hour estimated audiobook, so hopefully, we’ll have that out this month. Cross your fingers and toes!

 

 

L.L Diamond

L.L. Diamond is more commonly known as Leslie to her friends and Mom to her three kids. A native of Louisiana, she spent the majority of her life living within an hour of New Orleans before following her husband all over as a military wife.

After watching Sense and Sensibility with her mother, Leslie became a fan of Jane Austen, reading her collected works over the next few years. Pride and Prejudice stood out as a favourite and has dominated her writing since finding Jane Austen Fan Fiction.

Aside from mother and writer, Leslie considers herself a perpetual student. She has degrees in biology and studio art, but will devour any subject of interest simply for the knowledge. As an artist, her concentration is in graphic design, but watercolour is her medium of choice with one of her watercolours featured on the cover of her second book, A Matter of Chance. She coaches swimming and holds a variety of fitness certifications. She is also a member of the Jane Austen Society of North America. Leslie also plays flute and piano, but much like Elizabeth Bennet, she is always in need of practice!

    Well Leslie! I hope you’re satisfied! I’m seriously sleep deprived as I woke at 1.30 and noticed your book sitting on my kindle 😱, well I stupidly thought I might just read a couple of chapters before going back to sleep 🤔😥. I suppose you can guess the next part. 😳
    All I can say was that it was definitely worth it 😍😍😍. (And I did manage to grab a couple more hours sleep! I’m now going to get up and write my usual ‘loved it’ style of review- five stars obviously!
    This is definitely, definitely a must reread many times book! Congratulations and thank you!

    I would love the main giveaway, please! I do love tea. All the items are lovely. I read UNDOING recently, and I enjoyed that story. However, I do NOT like Colonel Fitzwilliam as a villain…just like another story where he was a villain.

    Yea, I just downloaded Confined… and can’t wait to read it in its entirety. The escape into fan fiction keeps me sane as I shelter in place and watch in horror what’s happening here in the USA. Thanks for the opportunity to win the cute Mr and Mrs tea kitties or the Golden Yorkshire tea.

    Just read the book on Kindle this afternoon! What a fun way to spend some relaxing time on day # one thousand of sheltering at home! Oh, how I wish I was sheltering at a more-Pembetly-like location. Love the items in the main give away!
