10th Anniversary Freebie!

July? How is it July? It feels like a decade since I’ve made a post!

Wait, has it been ten years? Well, not since I last posted here, but it was a decade ago that I hit “publish” on this newfangled thing called KDP and sent my first book, A Remedy Against Sin, out into the world. I had absolutely no expectation that anyone would read it, and when I received my first review (something along the lines of, Meh…three stars), I thought, “Fair enough!”

A few more people read the book…and then a few more. Several bloggers even wrote about the book without me contacting them or promoting the novel. If you haven’t noticed, I’m no good at promotion! Below is a recent picture my daughter took of me; she titled it (with all the irony of Austen), “Influencer.”

Though I don’t like marketing my books, and I especially didn’t like it in 2016, it became clear to me that some people loved Remedy…and others absolutely hated it! I quickly realized I was a very imperfect writer, but still, I made people feel something — and so I decided to keep trying!

These days, writing is a labor of love for me — emphasis on the word “labor.” I struggle with each word, and we’ll see if I’m able to produce anything new. (I’m working on it!)

In the meantime, if you haven’t read Remedy, or if you read it on KU and want a copy for your library, the book is free today and tomorrow (July 14 and July 15)!

Also, be on the lookout…the amazing Elizabeth Grace is finishing up an audiobook version of Remedy, which I hope to release in August or September!

And who knows? Maybe I’ll follow up with a little something I’ve been working on…or not! We’ll see!

Happy Anniversary, Friends! I hope one of my stories has brought you a little joy, and if they haven’t, I’m heartened that there are so many fabulous Austen Variations authors for you to find a book that you love!

Congratulations on your anniversary! Your book is not free in the UK, but I decided to buy it anyway.

    1. Jo, thank you so much! Sorry, it’s not free until 12:00 am Pacific Time, which means it will be free in a few minutes in the UK. I really appreciate your purchase, but if you want to return and get it free, go for it! (Hopefully I’m right about that…I’ll check again in a few minutes to see if it is indeed free in the UK, as I happen to be visiting England this week! :D)

Thank you! I have read all your P & P variations and have enjoyed the journey through each of them. However, have to say the Sense & Sensibility variation you wrote is my favorite. That is my preferred of Austen’s books and wish there were more variations of it out there.

I absolutely loved this story and I gave it a well deserved five stars. ❤️ I know people like different things but I doubt I could write a negative review.
I can’t write myself but I do appreciate the amount of research and effort it takes for a genuine author to write these books and I’m so grateful! 🥰🥰
