A little bit of Austenesque Fun!

How about a bit of fun? If you’re like me, this is a crazy time of year, fun but hectic! And being that I like a good crossword puzzle now and then, I thought it might be fun to create one about our dear Jane. Hope you enjoy!

With good luck I have done this such that you can fill it in online. What you see can only be seen by you, using your browser and your computer, so fill it in with impunity! But if you like a good old fashioned paper and pencil, go to the bottom right hand side of the puzzle where you see three horizontal lines. If you click that it brings up a little menu of choices including the choice to print the puzzle and clues.

If perchance your browser shows a blank box, simply refresh and the puzzle should appear.  Hope you enjoy and fingers crossed I did not thoroughly mess this up!

Great fun. But I am constrained to point out that Jane Austen and other British people like me called and still call the sum she received for the copyright of P&P One Hundred AND Ten Pounds not One Hundred Ten so she (and Mr Egerton) would have been a bit flummoxed by one clue. Though as they would not have known what a crossword was (the first known published one appeared in 1913) that would have been the least of their troubles.

I’ve done my best, but you have stumped me on several answers. I would be interested to see what they are!
