I’m so excited to share news of two Jane Austen events that I’m taking part in. I’ll be celebrating all things Austen with the Jane Austen Midlands Society on 17th March in Staffordshire. This event is open to non-members and I’ll be chatting all about Jane Austen and the King of Bling, whilst the fabulous John White will be bringing a Regency butler to life! Find out more here.
The second event sees me appearing with Adrian Lukis (perhaps more familiar as the roguish Mr Wickham) again as we bring An with Jane Austen to the breathtaking Waterloo Room at Wellington College!
Join us on 11th March for Regency music and song and readings from the works of Jane Austen. It promises to be a fun evening!
An Evening with Jane Austen offers audiences the opportunity to spend a magical evening in the company of Jane’s most memorable characters!
Performing duologues and readings from across Jane’s works, Caroline Langrishe (Lovejoy) and Adrian Lukis (Pride and Prejudice) bring her timeless writing effortlessly to life. These respected performers are accompanied by musicians whose interpretations of regency-era music give audiences a glimpse into the evocative sounds of Jane’s own household.

Wish I could join you both!! If you keep this up long enough, I just might make it over when you are performing and can attend! Btw…been watching The Crown and noticed Mr. Wickham switched over to the Navy! LOL!

He has indeed, commanding a ship no less!
Sounds wonderful!! I wish I lived in the UK…or could go visit, just to attend one of these amazing events! Thank you for sharing these opportunities with us, Catherine!
Warmly,
Susanne 🙂

It’s a pleasure; our audiences are all super enthusiastic and friendly, so the wider the better!
It’d be great to be able to attend one of your “An Evening with Jane Austen” events, though it was lovely to see you and Adrian last year at the Huddersfield Literary Festival when you presented “A Celebration of Pride and Prejudice”. I don’t know if you’ve seen the programme for this year but the one and only (I think) Austen-related event is “Mr. Darcy Loses the Plot” by LipService. Highly recommended (I saw it at Harrogate Theatre last year) and the funniest thing I’ve seen for many years.
Best wishes for your events and hope to see you in my neck of the woods one day!

I’m away when that’s on, sadly, or I would’ve been there. I went along with Adrian to see Austentatious a couple of weeks ago and we had a blast, it’s hilariously funny. We’d love to come to your neck of the woods, we need to get some days in the north!
Wish I could be there. It sounds wonderful.
