Just a quick blast to let you know that Mr. Knightley in His Own Words is now a available in audio! – as well as Kindle, Nook, and paperback. Yay!
If you’re as big a fan of audiobooks as I am, perhaps you’ve been waiting for just this minute to sink your teeth – well, your ears, at least – into the delicious Mr. Knightley’s full story. Yes, it covers the time span of Jane Austen’s Emma, but SO much more! And all in his own words. What transpired to leave George Knightley master of Donwell at such a young age, and how did Mrs. Woodhouse talk him into a London season? Learn the answers to these and many other mysteries you may have always wondered about, as well as seeing how he fell in love with Emma. His point-of-view, this time.
British actor and voiceover artist Philip Battley has done a masterful job narrating the book, imho. In fact, now that I see his picture alongside the cover, it strikes me that he would make a very fine Mr. Knightley himself! Don’t you think so? He did appear in an episode of Downton Abbey, I understand. So I will have to hunt up his performance there as soon as I get a chance.
Be sure to check out more about the book, including the audio sample here, and happy reading/listening!
