Greetings and happy spring! When I haven’t been buried in work, I’ve been…hmm, I should say I’ve been writing, but in truth, I’ve been using my free moments to walk and enjoy spring!

Can’t you imagine Elizabeth taking a ramble alongside this stone wall?
Mostly, though, I’ve been working or sleeping. Sickness and some unexpected tasks have made my writing life take a back seat to “real” life. This means I still owe a few intrepid readers the last installment “On Air.” (SAF and Rebecca K., I saw your comments, and I promise I’ll post that last installment after the school year ends!)
In happier news, the amazingly talented narrator Elizabeth Grace has completed production of the audiobook version of my 2018 novel Seasons of Waiting! I have absolutely loved hearing her versions of Elizabeth, Darcy, and the many other characters in this book. I hope you will, too!
Some reviewers describe the book as a tear-jerker — if you’ve read the book, feel free to agree or disagree in the comments — but I love the way Elizabeth Grace accentuates the heart and humor in the novel. (She’s so good you can even ignore my imperfections as a writer! 😉 )
In other book-related news: I’ve (finally) managed to produce a paperback version of Seasons of Waiting for anyone interested in a doorstop physical copy!
Giveaway time…
To celebrate these releases, I’m offering…
- two copies of the audiobook (for either Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk listeners)
- a copy of the paperback (for those with a US mailing address)!
Comment below to let me know which giveaway you’d like to enter!
You can also purchase the ebook or borrow it through Kindle Unlimited and get the audiobook for a bargain price of 7.49 using Whispersync.
Okay, back to work for me — and soon, I hope, back to writing! Happy spring, everyone!

Erna, thanks so much for your support! Unfortunately, your name didn’t come up in the giveaway drawing, but I’m grateful for your interest!
I have tried to buy the audio version but it is not working. I rather not buy an Audible version (with membership) since I already use Nextory. Seasons of waiting is an absolute favorite of mine (read it 11 times).
I live in Sweden and buy at Amazon.com.
Author
Eva, I’m sorry to hear the audio version isn’t working for you! Because I’m new to audiobooks, I decided to begin exclusively at Audible, but if I ever make the audiobook available elsewhere, I’ll be sure to let everyone know. Many, many thanks for all your support. (11 times! Wow, I’m so honored by how much you’ve enjoyed the book!)
I loved this book and would enjoy listening to the audio version
Author
Claire, thank you so much for your kind words!
Thanks for sharing part of your audio book with us. The beginning of this story is very intriguing and I would love to read the rest. Paperback is my favorite way to enjoy a book, so please enter me in the drawing for that form. Thanks again!
Whoops! Forgot to mention that I live in the US.

I am also taking morning walks, although not in as picturesque a setting. An audio book would be great for listening to in these walks.

I absolutely loved your book when it first came out, years ago and I would equally love listening to the audiobook, especially having Elizabeth Grace as the narrator. A US code/ amazon.com would be wonderful. ♥️

I would love an audio code for the book. I enjoy listening to audiobooks while I walk . It would be a good incentive. I hope life is getting back to a more even keel for you. I think all of us face those moments when something has to be let go for a while. Thank you for the giveaway,

With respect. I would like to enter the drawing for the paperback of the wonderful “Seasons of Waiting”. This widow does not own an audible account–the monthly fee is above my comfort level.
I must also say that I too am looking forward to the next (last?) installment of “On Air”–it had me hooked from the first paragraphs!
Keep writing. You have a real gift.

Hi Christina! 👋 I’m glad you’re enjoying spring. I love your variations so much! Even though, “Season of Waiting” is heartbreaking, I absolutely love the HEA, and I go back and read it often. I would love to be included in the audiobook giveaway ❤️ Elizabeth Grace is one of my favorite narrators! Congratulations 🎊
Author
Dear Monica, thank you so much for all your kind words, and I’m so glad you enjoy the book (despite the angst)! Unfortunately, your name didn’t come up in the drawing, but I’m really grateful for your interest and encouragements! I read this story. Found it full of angst with a long delay in the HEA for ODc.

Thanks for the giveaway opportunity! Sounds like a tear jerker for sure! A print copy would be nice, but audiobooks are nice too for getting chores and projects done. Hopefully life will get back into a smooth balance again for you soon, enjoy your nature rambles!

I’m so glad you’re going to post the last installment of ON AIR!!
I’ve enjoyed the stories very much, and I like how you’ve weaved the different personalities and happenings into one big adventure.
It’s been especially fun since I was a child in the 1930s and do remember many many things. Listening to radio was fun and exciting….something we looked forward to!!!
I’m definitely a paperback book reader. 🌻🌻
Author
Dear Elizabeth, thanks so much for all the encouragement with On Air! I’m excited to get back to it…just one more week of school! (Don’t get me wrong: I really enjoy being an educator! But I’m definitely looking forward to more time for writing!)

Author
Lois, thank you! So glad you enjoyed the book! Unfortunately, your name didn’t come up in the drawing, but I’m really grateful for the support and interest!
Seasons of Waiting ranks high among my favorite variations; in fact, I can’t think of one that I would rank higher. It is a beautiful telling of how Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy might have come together later in life, having always been destined for each other. One of the most moving passages is Elizabeth’s replay to Darcy’s letter: “Thank you, Fitzwilliam Darcy, thank you.” It easily brings tears to my eyes.
Author
Catherine, your words mean so much to me. I’m so glad you find that passage moving. I remember thinking, when I wrote that moment, that Elizabeth felt so much she could say only a few simple (but important) words.
I wish your name had come up in the giveaway drawing, but alas! I do hope you’re finding joy in whatever you’re reading or listening to at the moment!
I would do the paperback as I already have the ebook & audiobook. Elizabeth Grace is an excellent narrator!!
Author
Glory, thanks for entering! Unfortunately, your name didn’t come up in the drawing, but I appreciate your interest — and agree completely with the double exclamation marks for Elizabeth Grace!!
I love paperbacks!! The Year in Between is displayed on my shelf, so I’d love to have its book sibling there too. 🙂
Author
Ah, thank you, Katie! I wish your name had come up in the drawing so those two door-stopper siblings could have indeed been next to each other on the shelf! But I am very grateful for your interest and encouragement! Hope you are having a lovely last day of May!
I already bought (and listened to!) the audiobook – so good! So, I would like the paperback. I absolutely love Seasons of Waiting!
Author
Ah, thank you, Amanda! I’m so glad you enjoyed the audiobook! Unfortunately, your name didn’t come up in the paperback drawing, but I’m grateful for your support and interest!
Oh, how much I enjoy your P&P variations. I would normally choose an ebook because it’s easier to read with the enlargeable font, but it would be fun to try a paperback again. Especially at the giveaway price, if I should be fortunate as to win a copy.
Regardless, I look forward to reading it.
