Jack Caldwell is an author, amateur historian, professional economic developer, playwright, and like many Cajuns, a darn good cook. His nickname -- The Cajun Cheesehead -- came from his devotion to his two favorite NFL teams: the New Orleans Saints and the Green Bay Packers. (Every now and then, Jack has to play the DVD again to make sure the Saints really won in 2010.)
Always a history buff, Jack found and fell in love with Jane Austen in his twenties, struck by her innate understanding of the human condition. Jack uses his work to share his knowledge of history. Through his characters, he hopes the reader gains a better understanding of what went on before, developing an appreciation for our ancestors' trials and tribulations.
When not writing or traveling with his wife, Barbara, Jack attempts to play golf. A devout convert to Roman Catholicism, Jack is married with three grown sons.
Thanks to all the authors for your generous sales. I owned many of these but was still able to pick up a few. I love a good sale and you guys have the best. Blessings to all who celebrate Canada Day.
I hit the buy buttons, it takes me to the page. I press the button saying I want to buy the book, and nothing happens. On Kobo, it doesn’t recognize the titles that I have to manually insert, and the sale price isn’t on some of them. There are serious issues with this. What is the point of a book sale that won’t sell us the books?!
It’s been a while since I posted here but just wanted to pop in to thank our lovely authors for their generosity. I’ve bought a few but also noticed that some still aren’t showing up on the UK store at the sale price.
Monica Fairview’s A Longbourn Entanglement is £2.29
Anngela Schroeder’s A Life Worth Choosing is £4.40 and Comfort and Joy is £2.25
There may be more but these are the only three I haven’t already got, or just bought, where the price doesn’t seem right.
Thanks very much. I don’t know if the problem is related to your “Buy” button or not, but I had the same problems mentioned by a couple of other people above. I hit the Buy button, got to the Amazon page and hit the Buy button on the page and nothing happened. I cleared my cache and did a complete restart of my computer and was able to buy 3 of the books and then it happened again. Did another restart and got two more. Then looked up the author’s names and tried that way. Another restart and I got the last three I wanted, but Amazon is not helping you guys! Thanks for the lovely sale and lovely books.
It’s a link Amazon furnishes us, so I’m not sure any of us knows what is going on with it. I’m sorry for the issues. In all the years we’ve been doing the book sale, we’ve never had problems with the links. This has been truly bizarre.
Hi, Thank you for the sale, I always look forward to them.
Like others, I was having trouble purchasing. I know you guy’s can’t control Amazon and their links.
Like C.Kepler mentioned I restarted my device and was able to purchase 3, then had to restart again to purchase more. Very annoying, but it does worked!
Hope it will help others having the same problem.
Thank you again for the sale!
I was experiencing the same issues with trying to purchase. I am using the Firefox browser, btw if that helps. I took a cue from someone else’s comment and tried just looking them up manually and that worked. Frustrating when you want to purchase such a generous deal.
Thank you authors for your generosity. I look forward to these sales. In lots of cases I’ve already read them via KU but want to own them anyway. While I have the chance here I want to thank all of you profusely for putting your books out there on KU. Like other people I read multiple genres and tons of books and yet want to stay current with the newest JAFF everyone is talking about. I couldn’t do that without KU. Now tackling the TBR; that’s another story. Ugh. An embarrassment of riches. I live in the best time for such a fantastic (favorite) genre.

Hurray!! Shopping time~~
Thank you! As far as I know I’ve got these but will check anyway as my memory isn’t always really reliable! So appreciated! 🥰🥰
No links to summer sale!
If you click on the “buy” button on the book image above you want to buy, the link will take you to the Amazon page. Happy reading!
My email had no book phots or links at all. Can you please post link to page here?
Sorry.. I just got to this comment page, so can see them now. But the original email notification had no photos or links
When I go to the page, all I get is sections of variously priced books with little rectangles in each one–no indication of what the books are.
Thanks so much for the sale on so many delightful books. Happy Reading to all.
I see no links and no book images. I could just go to KU and look up each author individually & see what’s for sale as a work-around.
I’ve tried for about two hours. Your buy link will take me to the Amazon page, but the buy button will not work.
I don’t get the links to the books either, just the headers for the prices and no way to get to the books on sale. 🙁
Hello!
I just bought 5 or 6 books I didn’t have yet!
Thanks so much for this opportunity! Happy Summer indeed!

Bought every P&P variation I didn’t have as a token thanks to the authors for previously offering them in KU.
Thanks everyone and especially authors!
Thank you so much! Always waiting for this time of the year!!!/Time to load up my library 🙂

I appreciate the offers, but own all but the books by Anngela Schroeder, which are not reduced for Canadians.

Just saw your message, Anji. I don’t know why the UK price didn’t change. 🙁
