Jane in January Final Giveaway — 37 Comments

  1. Well it (the hunt that is) was fun but I did not participate because I did not want o show my ignorance of Jane, but I did enjoy watching others do it
Well done to all those who won lucky you.

I do love this web site and love reading all posts.

I have no expectation of winning anything but wanted to say thanks for the hunt in any case.

I really look forward to 2017 and the interesting books that are going to be released.

    Cheers to all.

  2. The scavenger hunt was fun and challenging. It was a unique way to win fun prizes! Congratulations to the winners and thanks to the talented authors for amazing clues. I am anxious to see other creative games and great books for 2017!

  3. I had a fabulous time doing the hunts and all the games, I learned a lot and thank you all for participating!!!! Cannot wait to see what you all come up with next 🙂

  4. Oh, it was so much fun! I had a terrific time with it, as did many others I imagine. It was challenging at times but definitely something to be repeated in the future, please. You’ve all been so generous with your time and the prizes, thank you.

As one of your international readers, there aren’t many of this set of prizes that I’m eligible for. I already have a copy of Monica’s book and I have a bit of a phobia about dolls and figurines (the P&P&Z prize) so please don’t enter me in the giveaway for those two items. If Maria Grace’s prize is international (it doesn’t say), please could you put my name in the hat for that one? Otherwise, good luck to everyone who’s been along for this fantastic ride!

    • Thanks for catching that about Maria Grace’s giveaways – yes, they are only US, too. Sorry, but I’m glad you enjoyed the posts!

  5. I have enjoyed reading the comments and wishing my memory was better. But saying that I have only read Jane’s books once apart from P&P and not even that since the 1995 series. So I was lost on most questions and the only places I recognised were the 2 Pemberley houses from 1995 & 2005 mainly because I live near them I think. However I do enjoy all posts from JAFF authors and love reading other comments so even if I have no chance of winning anything please keep up the good work 😊

  6. I too have enjoyed the January quiz time and searching out snippets from all things Jane Austen related.
It has brightened up a very cold January. Thank you for all the hard work.
    I am an international reader.

  7. I have to admit that 2017 started off with an injury which put me on pain killer meds and a couple of medical procedures. My head was so fuzzy that I the January quiz times were just too complicated for me to participate but they looked fun but tons of work for the authors.
I love reading your blog….I already own Steampunk Darcy.
Here is to a happy February!

  8. It was difficult! I thought I knew a fair amount but found out that I was quite wrong. I appreciated having the answers posted at a later date. Thank you for the fabulous giveaway!

  9. I really enjoyed the activities and also learned more about Jane. Keep up the exciting new ideas and puzzles. I love everything Jane and the prizes, so keep up the good work

  10. I loved it all, even though I didn’t know enough about Jane to enter that particular giveaway. The contests were creative, and the prizes were wonderful! It brightened up a gloomy January! My thanks to all the authors.

  11. Like others , this site brings many smiles to my morning as I take a quiet moment to sip tea and read it first thing. The scavenger hunt was not my favorite, but I do think it added variety and a challenge to many of your readers, so should be something to do in the future.

  12. I loved the idea of the scavenger hunt but felt myself not up to the challenge. They were all too hard for me so I am glad to see that I can participate on this one. 🙂 Thank you for having all these giveaways.

  13. I enjoy reading Jane Austen Fan Fiction books. Looking forward to reading more books by all of the authors who are a part of Jane Austen Variations!

  14. Thank you for putting this fun hunt on. I certainly learned something new with them! Thank you as well for your generosity!

  15. I thought the scavenger hunt was a lot of fun. I didn’t participate in each contest, but I thought they were all really clever. Thanks for the generous giveaways.

  16. I really liked the scavenger hunt and hope you continue to do something like this in the future. There were some quizzes that were too difficult for me as it’s been many years since I’ve read the novels so my memory was not good enough to participate.

  17. I have to say that I didn’t participate also. I am swamped with blogs I subscribe to and find at times I ignore them to read a book or two or three. I especially love the blogs that interview new authors or give me excerpts of new books to read as it broadens JAFF for me even more.

  18. Didn’t get a chance to participate in the hunt, but sure sounds fun! It’s been such a hectic month… I second Sheila’s comments, love blogs with interviews and excerpts from upcoming books!

  19. I was really impressed with how creative everyone was with their posts and giveaways. I was lucky enough to win one early on and so thankful! I consider myself a Janeite. For the most part, I did fairly well with the challenges, but I certainly wasn’t perfect. (I didn’t always get a chance to post my comments/answers.) I definitely learned something new. I also liked reading other people’s responses and ideas. Thank you all so much for Jane in January.

  20. What a fun month!!! I prefer stories to give-aways, but both are enjoyable!! Thank you for your generosity in providing these lovely gifts all month!!

And I can’t wait to see what you all have in store for February!! <3

Susanne, who is seriously coveting those bags and that e-copy of Steampunk Darcy!! (Crossing fingers and wishing hard!!) 🙂

  21. I agree with Thalia that I loved the idea of the scavenger hunt and creative entries but felt myself not up to the challenge. While I enjoy her stories, I am not a Jane expert. I did enjoy learning more about her. As a side note, thank you to you and the contributors for keeping such an active and enjoyable site!

  22. I missed the hunt due to January business. Would love to join next time, sounds fun! Thanks for the generous giveaway!

  23. This has been a crazy month for me, Between a 50 hour work week, sickness, family issues and a myriad of other obligations I was only half here during the month of January. Then there was the scatter brain who said I will get to that post after work and completely forgot. I did enjoy the scavenger hunt and think it is a phenomenal idea and hope it is repeated in the future. Thank you for the generous giveaways.
