L.L Diamond

L.L. Diamond is more commonly known as Leslie to her friends and Mom to her three kids. A native of Louisiana, she spent the majority of her life living within an hour of New Orleans before following her husband all over as a military wife.

After watching Sense and Sensibility with her mother, Leslie became a fan of Jane Austen, reading her collected works over the next few years. Pride and Prejudice stood out as a favourite and has dominated her writing since finding Jane Austen Fan Fiction.

Aside from mother and writer, Leslie considers herself a perpetual student. She has degrees in biology and studio art, but will devour any subject of interest simply for the knowledge. As an artist, her concentration is in graphic design, but watercolour is her medium of choice with one of her watercolours featured on the cover of her second book, A Matter of Chance. She coaches swimming and holds a variety of fitness certifications. She is also a member of the Jane Austen Society of North America. Leslie also plays flute and piano, but much like Elizabeth Bennet, she is always in need of practice!

    Love this start to Charlie’s story! A long lost love, a softer side to the friend with the iron will on the outside, what’s not to love? Cannot wait to read this story!

    Charlie is so lucky to have a friend like Elliot. He sounds like he works as a therapist but he made her reconsider her past from a different point of view.

    We now know just what broke them up but it sounds like their both carrying a torch for the other. I guess I’ll need to look into reading my first wedding planner book.

    I have not read the previous 2 books, because I want to read all of them at once. So I don’t know how much of their past is covered in the other books. “Persuasion” is my favorite of JA’s books, so I’ve been enjoying what I’ve read of this so far!

    Sounds like a great series and I’m intrigued that it is inspired by Persuasion as that’s my favorite JA book.

    1. Charlie is not quite Anne Elliot, but their relationship is inspired by Persuasion. Just a bit of a different approach. Charlie is a bit more bitter. Thanks, darcybennett!

  11. I just finished reading all four chapters and I love it. I hope it goes the way I think it should end but I know there will be a few twists and turns.
